Australian Kite Surfari doesn’t just advertise adventure, we live it. Our camp is right on the beach, with consistently strong trade winds, warm water and epic kiting. We’ll pick you up from Cairns and take you to our exclusive kiting paradise, where you’ll enjoy a few days in camp before transferring to the Aroona.

Exclusive Reef Locations including Lizard Island and its Blue Lagoon, Jewell Reef, Ingram and Eagle Island. The owners of the Aroona love kiting. Their boat gets you to some amazing reef locations and when you’re not on the water, you’re enjoying first class cruising and service on the Aroona.

The Aroona ~ Luxury Cruising & Kiting

The Aroona is a 70ft (22m) motor yacht cruising white boat, providing optimum space, comfort and luxury cruising. Accommodation for up to 9 guests in fully air-conditioned state rooms, all with ensuites. Spacious living areas spread over three decks, including a lounge with flat screen LCD television. Light tackle and reef fishing equipment is onboard and available for use, when you’re not kiting. Inclusions & Itinerary

Itinerary

Day 1 The adventure begins, Australian Kite Surfari will pick you up from Cairns Domestic Airport at 12pm sharp. From here we head north, to our kiting camp north of Cooktown.

Day 2 Wake up to breakfast on the beach. Hot and cold options on offer, bacon and eggs, cereal and fresh fruit. Hit the water and kite the day away. Lunch and dinner is included.

Day 3 Eat, sleep, repeat. There’s no set itinerary. This remote location offers sensational kiting where you can practice your skills or just enjoy kiting, the way you like it.

Day 4 White boat time. Transfer to the Aoorna, a 22m white boat, motor yacht. This luxury vessel has been designed for optimum space, comfort and smooth travelling. Your reef kiting starts at Eagle Island.

Day 5 Today we’re kiting Ribbon Reef or Jewell Reef. Your crew will pick the best location, to maximise you kiting, pending conditions at the time. When you’re off the water, chill out in the spacious living areas which are spread over 3 decks.

Day 6 The Aroona has moved location overnight, so today you wake up to Ingram Island. Blue water, strong winds, amazing memories, not to mention great food.

Day 7 Blue Lagoon at Lizard Island will blow your mind for beauty. Backdrops don’t get any better than this, so make the most of your last day kiting the reef.

Day 8 Last day. The Australian Kite Surfari team will drop you back to Cairns at 6.30pm.

Inclusions

Kite the Reef is a great value trip, with lots of inclusions. We take care of the driving, accommodation, food, drinks, transfers and planning. All you have to do is bring your kite, your clothes and a sense of adventure.
